Instructor at Vertical, Leadership Expeditions Guide

Veronica has a Degree in Visual Arts & Aesthetics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), she obtained a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue her Master’s in Fine Arts in Photography at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City.

She started practicing mountaineering at PUC under the guidance of renown Chilean master Claudio Lucero, with whom she climbed Cotopaxi Volcano in Ecuador and subsequently pursued Mountaineering Instructor’s training.

Her climbing activities include several summits along the Andes: Ojos del Salado Volcano, the highest Chilean summit, Parinacota Volcano, Osorno Volcano, and Pequeño Alpa Mayo at Cordillera Real Bolivia, among others. She also participated with the Cumbres Australes Club on an expedition in the Southern Patagonian Ice Caps. She has also worked as a trekking guide at the Explora Hotel in Torres del Paine National Park. She has been working with the Wharton Leadership Ventures program since 2012.

As a photographer, she works as a teacher at Instituto Professional Vertical as well as other institutions. Her photographic work has been exhibited and published.
